Four Manhattanville College Teams Heading to Skyline Conference Championships

All four of the Manhattanville College winter sport teams have secured home playoff games. The women's and men's basketball and hockey teams will be competing throughout the week for their championship titles. This is the first time since 2009 that all of the Manhattanville College winter teams will be at home for their conference tournaments.

UPDATE: Congratulations to our men’s basketball team, who, with a victory on Tuesday night, advanced to the Skyline Conference Semifinals vs. Yeshiva University, Thursday at 5p.m. in Kennedy Gym. The women’s basketball team will face Mt. St. Mary’s in the Skyline Conference Semifinals Thursday at 7:30p.m., also in Kennedy Gym. 

Also, congratulations to both hockey teams which won their playoff games on Thursday and are advancing to playoffs in Utica, NY this weekend.

Note to the Manhattanville community: Everyone who attends Thursday’s games, including students, faculty and staff must have a ticket. Tickets are free to anyone with a Manhattanville ID and can be picked up tomorrow and Thursday in the athletic department offices. The games are expected to sell out, so pick up tickets early. Tickets are first come, first served.

 

Men’s Basketball earned the Skyline Conference North Division Crown and the No. 2 overall seed in the Skyline Conference Tournament.

Women’s Basketball finished as co-regular season champions. They will also be the No. 2 overall seed in the Skyline Conference Tournament.

Women’s Hockey earned the No. 3 seed in the UCHC Women’s Tournament (scoring eleven goals in Saturday’s game).

Men’s Hockey earned the No. 4 seed in the UCHC Men’s Tournament.

Tuesday, February 21: No. 2 Men’s Basketball vs. No. 7 Mt. St. Vincent – 7p.m. (Kennedy Gymnasium)

Wednesday, February 22: No. 3 Women’s Hockey vs. No. 6 Arcadia – 3p.m. (at Playland Ice Casino)

No. 4 Men’s Hockey vs. No. 5 Wilkes – 7p.m. (at Playland Ice Casino)

Thursday, February 23: No. 2 Men’s Basketball vs. Yeshiva/St. Joseph’s LI winner – 5p.m. (if necessary)

No. 2 Women’s Basketball vs. Mt. St. Mary/Mt. St. Vincent winner – 7:30p.m. (Kennedy Gymnasium) 

Saturday, February 25: All games are TBD based on the outcome of the quarterfinal and semifinal games during the week.   

“We are incredibly proud of all of our athletics teams,” said Athletics Director Julene Caulfield. “For the first time in 14 years, all of our winter sport teams have made it to the playoffs. This is a testament to the hard work and determination of this incredible group of athletes. We will be cheering them on as they compete for their championship titles.”
