PURCHASE, NY, April 24 – With a record-breaking number of applications, Manhattanville College has admitted its largest and most diverse group of future Valiants in history, with 3,250 first-year students for the Class of 2027 receiving acceptance letters for this fall.

This is the largest class of admitted students since record keeping began 25 years ago representing a 15.6% increase from last year and a 31.8% increase from 2021. This year, Manhattanville had the highest number of applications since 2017. The admitted Class of 2027 is nearly half first-generation and is more diverse with increases in international students and in students who are Asian, Black or African American, and Hispanic.

During the first few weeks of April, the college welcomed approximately 800 guests to campus for Admitted Student Days, where admitted students had their first opportunity to meet each other, enjoy fun activities, while also touring campus, and meeting with faculty and administrators. This May, Manhattanville will welcome admitted students back to campus for “Valiant Up Days,” a new series of events designed to provide greater 1-1 support for students and families as they finalize their enrollment with the college. The college will also host newly enrolled students and their families for New Student and Family Orientation sessions this summer.

“We are delighted to see such a strong interest in our academic programs, which are designed to prepare students for successful careers and meaningful lives in a rapidly changing world,” said Vice President for Enrollment and Marketing, Troy Cogburn.
