Thank you for your interest in applying for housing at Manhattanville University. We host several on-line housing selection processes throughout the year. Please select the process that most applies to you.

New Student Housing

New and Transfer Students – New and transfer students must first be admitted to Manhattanville University and submit an enrollment deposit. In order to receive a housing assignment, students must complete the steps below.

Visit the MyHousing portal to complete the 2024-2025 Housing Application after February 28, 2024.

The 2024-2025 Housing Application is a legally binding agreement for the entire academic year (Fall & Spring Semester).

 

 

 

9 Steps and Find Your Selection Date

 

Applications will open January 22nd, 2024, and must be completed no later than February 28th, 2024, in order to participate in Room Selection. 

Room Selection will occur on Thursday, March 14th, 2024 through Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024.

Resolve all student account holds and visit www.mville.edu/myaccount to pay your Housing Deposit online before July 1st , 2024.

Your housing deposit is not needed in order to make a housing selection however, if your deposit is not paid by July 1st, you are still guaranteed housing however your original selection will be release back into the collection of available rooms to choose from.

To submit the deposit, please follow the instructions below.

  1. Log in to www.mville.edu/myaccount
  2. Select “Deposits” from the Menu.
    Be sure to click Deposits.Do not click "Make a payment" on the homepage.
  3. Select the Fall 2024 Term and Housing Deposit
  4. Follow the onscreen prompts to submit the deposit.

Visit www.mville.edu/myhousing. to complete the 2024-2025 Returning Student Housing Application.

The 2024-2025 Housing Application is a legally binding agreement for the entire academic year (Fall & Spring Semester).

Step 3: Receive Room Selection Number

All students who submit a application by February 28th 11:59pm est will receive a room selection number on March 4th at 12pm. The room selection number will be used to generate your room selection time.

Room Selection Number Ranges:

Seniors and Graduates  1000 - 1999
Juniors 2000 - 2999

Sophomores

3000 - 3999

 

Manhattanville University determines class standing by the total number of credits a student has earned. Class standing for Room Selection is determined by the number of credits a student has earned, plus the number of credits a student is attempting for the Spring semester. The credit ranges are listed below:

Rising Grads – 105+ Credits Received

Rising Seniors – 75-104 Credits Received

Rising Juniors – 45 - 74 Credits 

Rising Sophomores – 0 – 44 Credits 

 

For Example: Student A has earned 24 credits. They are currently taking 12 credits. They have 24 credits that would be used to determine their class standing for room selection. They would be a Rising Sophomore. 

All students who receive a room selection number will be eligible to form roommate groups at www.mville.edu/myhousing. Select "Room & Roommate Selection" from the menu, then select "Select a Roommate". All buildings will be selected by "suite". For the purposes of room selection, a "suite" means any grouping of rooms that share a common space or bathroom.

Students can form groups of 2 or 3 for Founder's Hall, or 4, 5, or 6 for Dammann Hall & 4 Tenney Hall. There are a limited number of 4 Person suites in Dammann Hall & Tenney Hall. Please keep this in mind and manage your own expectations. Tenney Hall will be 4 person suites and be available to rising seniors and graduate students. Your group must be formed seniors or graduate students that will be 21 or older by 

Students will receive the order that they will able to go into the MyHousing Portal and see when they can enter the system and select a space.

All roommate groups will receive a Group Selection time on March 14th, 2023. This Group Selection Time is based on an average of the room selection numbers of the students in the group. 

Any member of the roommate group can select on behalf of the group during their group selection time. The student who selects on behalf of the group will have the ability to assign students to individual spaces.

Students can form groups of 4, 5, or 6 for Dammann Hall & 4 Tenney Hall. There are a limited number of 4 Person suites in Dammann Hall & Tenney Hall. Please keep this in mind and manage your own expectations. Tenney Hall will be 4 person suites and be available to rising seniors and graduate students. Your group must be formed seniors or graduate students that will be 21 or older by October 1st.

Dammann will have 6 person suite select, followed. by 5 person suites, and 4 person suites. 6 Person groups will have a time assigned between 9am and 11am, 5 Person groups will have a time assigned between 12pm - 2pm and 4 Person groups will have a time assigned between 3pm and 5pm.

There are four phases of Room Selection, which occur on different days:

Founder's Hall 3 Person (1 Single Room & 1 Double Room)
Dammann Hall & Tenney Hall 4 Person (2 Premium Singles & 2 Single Rooms)
Dammann Hall 5 Person (1Premium Single, 1 Double. and 2 Single Rooms
Dammann Hall 6 Person (2 Double Rooms & 2 Single Rooms)
Spellman Hall There are Premium Singles in Spellman. You can notify the Student Life Office and we can place you manually!

 

If you were part of the suite process, and did not receive a suite selection. Please reorganize your groups into 1-3 person groups so that you can select during FILL A ROOM SELECTION happening on March 28th.

March 25th - Priority Number Confirmation Sent

March 28th - FILL A ROOM SELECTION

The person with the highest priority number will be able to select for the entire group.

Fill a room select means, the entire group must fill the entire bedroom space of either a single, a double, or a 3 person space in Founders.

During this process, Students fill the bed within a residence halls space whether that be a single or an open space in a double. 

Students will receive a confirmation of what there spaces are and will be notified if a housing deposit has been paid or not.
