Valiant Spirit Shines Through at Convocation and Move-In Day for New Students
The Manhattanville community officially welcomed the Class of 2030 this week during Convocation, a cherished tradition that marks the beginning of each student's journey as a Valiant.

Despite a rainy day on campus, the weather did little to dampen the excitement and enthusiasm that filled the ceremony. Faculty and staff gathered to extend a warm welcome to the newest members of the Manhattanville family, emphasizing the support, opportunities, and sense of community that will shape their experience in the years ahead.

Convocation is one of Manhattanville's longstanding traditions, bringing together students, faculty, and staff to celebrate the start of a new academic chapter.
As the Class of 2030 begins its journey, students were encouraged to ACT Valiant:
- Adapt - Respond to change with creativity, ethics, and innovation with purpose
- Connect - Build community through empathy, collaboration, and shared responsibility
- Transform - Engage in learning and practice that shapes lives, work, and the world
The day before Convocation, first-year students moved into their residence halls, settling into their new homes on campus and beginning to form connections with classmates and roommates.

Move-in Day brought a flurry of activity as families, student volunteers, and staff worked together to help make the transition to campus life smooth and welcoming.

Rain clouds may have hovered overhead during Convocation, but the energy, optimism, and Valiant pride on display made it clear that the Class of 2030 is ready to make its mark at Manhattanville. We look forward to seeing all they will accomplish in the years ahead.
Welcome to Manhattanville, Class of 2030. Your journey begins now.
