Director of Professional Tennis Management (PTM) Program

Manhattanville University,

David has been appointed the new Director of Manhattanville’s Professional Tennis Management (PTM) Program and brings with him 15 years of teaching and coaching experience in the local area. Before assuming the role of director David was an adjunct faculty member at Manhattanville, teaching PTM courses.

David is currently in his sixth year as Tennis Director at Tamarack Country Club in Greenwich, CT, overseeing all aspects of the tennis program. Prior to Tamarack, he served as an assistant at Old Oaks Country Club in Purchase, NY, and as Tennis Director at the Tennis Club of Hastings in Hastings-on-Hudson, NY, where he was in charge of the rebuilding of the club’s tennis program post Hurricane Sandy.

David recently completed his first year as the head men’s tennis coach at Fordham University. He also serves at the Southern District President of the USPTA’s Eastern division where he works with local teaching pros and coaches, setting up educational events for members to attend.

David graduated from Marist College where he competed for the tennis team. In his senior year he captained the team to all-time school record of 22-3 and led the team to their fifth straight MAAC Conference championship and consequent NCAA tournament appearance.

After a brief stint in finance post-graduation, David returned to a career in tennis. In 2012 he received his Master’s in Sports Business from Manhattanville. A little-known fact about David is that he was a fully qualified British tennis official and officiated at Wimbledon for 5 years from 1999-2003.

David resides in Stamford, CT, with his wife Juliane, his daughter Olivia and their dog Bentley.
