About Me

Nikhil Ghodke is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication and Media, where he teaches courses in video production, animation, and motion graphics. He has a bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Mumbai University, India and an M.F.A. from Savannah College of Art and Design in Computer Art and specializes in multimedia and motion graphics. His experience encompasses 10-12 years working across the U.S., India and New Zealand, working for TV networks, production houses and ad agencies on motion graphics. His work as an Art Director revolves around time based media and integration of multiple forms of artwork to generate videos that communicate.
He has taught at the Art Institute of Tampa in Florida and Media Design School in Auckland, NZ. The area of focus in his classes is multi media and his classes are a blend of visual design principles and software techniques. His classes have dealt with live briefs and clients and worked on projects for festivals and charities.
