About Me

Nayma Qayum is an associate professor teaching Global and International Studies, and Asian studies. Her research interests include institutions, elections and participation, gender, and development. Dr. Qayum received her Ph.D. in political science from the Graduate Center, City University of New York. She has previously taught at SUNY Geneseo, Pace University, CUNY City College, and Lehman College, and held research positions at BRAC Bangladesh and UNDP New York.
