About Me

Before becoming the Director of Field Placement and Certification at Manhattanville College in 2014, Dr. Kevin Roberts spent his career in not-for-profit social service and academic/educational settings. He has taught at the pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, and junior high school levels, and at the college level (graduate). Kevin has held administrative positions with various organizations. Most recently, he was the Executive Director of a not-for-profit early childhood education organization. Partnerships existed with the Public Schools of the Tarrytown in universal pre-kindergarten services, and Westchester ARC and Alcott School in inclusive pre-kindergarten services. In 2009, he received a school partnership award from Westchester ARC. Kevin was a founder of a thriving not-for-profit organization and has sat on the Board of Directors of three not-for-profit organizations including one term as president. He was chairperson of the Residential Services Committee of the Bronx Developmental Disabilities Council for two years and was a member of the Westchester Early Childhood Directors Association and the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Presently, Kevin is completing doctoral studies in Educational Leadership at Manhattanville. Since 2012, he has taught special education graduate courses as an adjunct professor at the college.
