Dr. Sarver earned his Bachelor of Arts in philosophy and political science at Ohio Wesleyan University and his M.A. and Ph.D. from the University at Albany (SUNY). He teaches courses in international relations and comparative politics. Dr. Sarver’s areas of specialization are international political economy, African politics, politics of developing countries, and development economics. Current research interests include China and India, global energy politics, and natural resource conflict. Dr. Sarver also served in the Peace Corps in Guatemala.
