Prof. Alessandro Daniele graduated in 1990 with a master’s degree in modern languages and literatures from the Universita’ degli Studi di Firenze (Italy). He lives in Westchester and has worked as an adjunct and visiting professor of Italian language at various universities in New York since 2001, including Westchester Community College, City College of New York and Fordham University. Prof. Daniele taught German and English as second languages in Italian public and private schools for more than 10 years and also worked as a translator in Florence for private companies. In 2000 he left his native Italy to travel the world and pursue a career as a foreign language teacher in the United States. Prof. Daniele has been affiliated with the College since 2002 and is a member of Manhattanville’s World Languages and Literatures Department. Within the Italian program Prof. Daniele teaches all levels of Italian language, as well as courses in Italian literature, cinema, culture, and business.
