Polishing Your Public Speaking SkillsDate: February 16 (Saturday)Time: 2:00 pm to 5:00 pmInstructor: Cynthia BrosnanTuition: $95 Public Free for Mville StudentsNow that you have designed those captivating PowerPoint slides in Creating Dynamic and Engaging Presentations, are you prepared to develop and deliver a persuasive, credible and engaging presentation? The ability to communicate effectively is crucial to the success of leaders in all fields. Effective communicators must be able to present to diverse groups of internal and external stakeholders, including customers, managers, subordinates and peers.
This course will provide you with the opportunity to deliver a presentation based on the slides you designed in your PowerPoint workshop. Through a blend of practice, observation and feedback, students will practice techniques and strategies to deliver powerful presentations based on learning how to manage excess energy and project polished verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
Upon successfully completing this workshop, students will be better able to demonstrate proficiency of key topics including:
PrerequisiteThere is no prerequisite class however you must bring a PowerPoint Slide Deck to practice presenting. Putting Power in your PowerPoint Presentations is a follow-up class to PowerPoint Dynamic Presentations Workshop III.
About the Instructor
Cynthia Brosnan is an international management development consultant focused on the design and delivery of communication, coaching and leadership programs for global corporate, non-profit and academic audiences.
Cynthia has been working with Manhattanville College’s Graduate School of Business for over twenty years. Cynthia teaches students pursuing graduate degrees in Business Leadership, Human Resources Management and Organizational Effectiveness, Finance, International Management and Marketing Communications Management.
