In your course, visit Tools in the menu on the left, and click on Collaborate Ultra in the pane on the right.
(Your course may also have a tab marked, Collaborate Ultra on this menu. You may click there, also.)
In the Collaborate Ultra frame, click Course Room.
Click Join Room.
Turn on microphone and camera
Once in the room, at the bottom of the screen, click the microphone, and camera icons. Follow any prompts to allow access to your mic and camera.
Upon activating the camera, a Video Preview will appear.
This is NOT live to the class. Click Share Video to broadcast to the room.
To begin, scroll down until you see Course Management on the left panel. Once you are there, click Course Tools. A drop down menu will appear that gives you the option to select Blackboard Collaborate Ultra.
After clicking this, click Create Session in the window.
A right panel will open up, which will allow you to create a name for your session and event details such as, starting and ending times, early entry, and description.
Also, under Session Settings you can customize your session by setting different permissions for your participants and moderator.
After you have created the session to your liking, click Save in the bottom right corner.
1. After logging into Blackboard, click Tools on the left hand panel.
Blackboard Collaborate Ultra should be in the left-hand column of the Tools window.
2. After selecting Blackboard Collaborate Ultra, click Join room.
In the top left-hand corner, click the Session Menu button. Then select Start Recording.
3. Record for as long as you wish. Once you are finished recording, reopen the Session Menu in the left-hand corner and click Stop Recording.
Click Discussion on the left-hand panel.
Click Create Forum.
Title the discussion.
Add the discussion question or topic in the comments section.
Select the options for the discussion board. Note: Choosing the "No" option under Forum Availability overrides "Date and Time Restrictions." Therefore, forums marked "No," under available are unavailable even if the "Date and Time Restrictions," mark it as available. Choose "Yes," to use date and time restrictions.
