Olim Toiriyon Receives Mastercard Scholarship

(Purchase, N.Y.: April 20, 2018) Olim Toiriyon, class of 2020, is the recent recipient of the Mastercard Business Resource Groups (BRG) Scholarship and is being placed into Mastercard’s Finance Group for a 2018 Summer Internship with Mastercard Worldwide. The scholarship includes mentoring from Manhattanville alumni employed by Mastercard.

Olim is an international student from Tajikistan studying Economics and Finance. He is a part of the Castle Scholars Honors Program and the Emerging Leaders Program where he attends leadership workshops and community service programs. As a Global Ambassador for Manhattanville College, Olim prepares presentations for students at his high school in Tajikistan and shares his experiences at Manhattanville. Additionally, Olim is a representative of Manhattanville for the United Nations (UN). Here, he actively participates in different seminars, conferences, and programs the United Nation holds to further support its mission and how Manhattanville can aid in that mission.

Olim is currently working for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at Manhattanville, working directly with admissions counselors and prospective students and families. Olim enjoys soccer, boxing, Greek-Roman wrestling and basketball.
