Meet the Center for Career Development

The Center for Career Development supports and empowers students and alumni to make important decisions that integrate academic studies and life experiences with career planning. We strive to promote faculty, alumni and employer partnerships to generate opportunities that help students and alumni to discover their career potential and meet their career goals. Services are available for current Manhattanville College undergraduates who are enrolled as full-time or part time students, graduate students that are enrolled full time or half time, students enrolled in continuing education programs, and alumni.

Meghan Makarczuk
Director of Career Development

As Director of CCD, Meghan Makarczuk is responsible for the successful placement of Manhattanville graduates into the workforce and graduate programs, along with maintaining oversight of career development, internships, student employment, corporate and community outreach, and career services for alumni.

Before joining Manhattanville College, Meghan worked for five years in career development, applying her holistic counseling style to offer a supportive, collaborative, and encouraging, yet structured approach to meet the individual needs of both students and alumni. Meghan is passionate about her work, committed to supporting students through all aspects of career decision making including career exploration, skill enhancement, informational interviewing and effective networking.  

Meghan is an alumna of Iona College and Long Island University, and has a B.A. in Psychology and M.S. Ed. in School Counseling. 

Manching Tom
Assistant Director of Student Employment

Manching Tom has been involved with student employment at Manhattanville since 2002. She serves as the Human Resources Liaison for all student employees and campus employers. She coordinates the Federal Work-Study Program and enforces the College’s employment program regulations. She identifies on and off campus opportunities and assists undergraduate students with their campus job search. A graduate of San Francisco State University, Manching enjoyed an extensive performing career with various ballet companies before her transition to administration.  Prior to her appointment at Manhattanville, she served as the Managing Director of Ballet Arts, a professional dance studio in New York City, for 15 years. She looks forward to her continued work with students, faculty and staff at the Center for Career Development. She currently serves as Vice President of Professional Development of the Northeast Association of Student Employment Administrators. Additionally, she has been an Adjunct Instructor for the Dance and Theatre Department since 2008.



Kristen Hanley
Career Counselor

As the Career Counselor for the School of Education and Public & Human Services, Kristen Hanley offers advice and support to students with all aspects of career development. Kristen has worked in higher education for the last six years with her previous roles as Peer Mentoring Coordinator, Academic Intervention Counselor, and Academic Advisor at Rockland Community College. She has extensive experience in educational planning, veteran services, internship placements, job fairs, information fairs, new student orientation, resume writing and working with student across all disciplines. Kristen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Child and Family Studies from SUNY Oneonta and a Master of Science in Education from Long Island University with a focus in School Counseling.

Leigh-Ann Enyame
Career Counselor and Internship Coordinator

As the Internship Coordinator and Career Counselor for CCD, Leigh-Ann Enyame has been administering the Valiant Internship Program as well as providing advice and support to students and alumni with all aspects of career development including career exploration, resume and cover letter writing, interviewing skills and networking skills. With a background in non-profit marketing communications, Leigh-Ann has over four years of higher education experience with previous roles in faculty hiring and development at Mercy College, and coordinating career development programming and summer internship funding for law students at Pace Law School. A proud Manhattanville alumna, Leigh-Ann holds a B.A. in Communications from Manhattanville College, and a M.S. in Publishing from Pace University.

Samantha Bieleski
Office Coordinator

As the Office Coordinator at CCD, Samantha Bieleski serves as point of initial contact for students, parents and employers, and assists them with utilizing office resources. Samantha has worked in higher education for the last four years. Prior to working at Manhattanville, Samantha worked as the Coordinator of Residence Life & Student Activities at Five Towns College on Long Island, and most recently held the role of Resident Director at LIM College in Manhattan. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Eastern Connecticut State University.

Victoria Ratjen
Student Employment Assistant

As the student employment assistant with the Center for Career Development, Victoria Ratjen works closely with both students and department supervisors. She assists undergraduate students seeking on campus employment, posts campus jobs to the Mville Career Network, and supports both the CCD and Student Employment Offices. Victoria earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2013 from Manhattanville College in Studio Art and she will earn her Master's degree in Museum Studies from NYU in 2018.
