Joy Pellegrino

Most recently, Joy served as Coordinator of Spirituality and Art Therapist at St. Vincent’s Behavioral Health Hospital in Harrison, board member of the Vincentian Service Corps and Director of Young Adult Ministry for the Sisters of Charity of New York where she designed and implemented a program of faith formation and community service.
Her approach to theological reflection, especially when leading busy person retreats is holistic, integrating the arts, wellness, and spirituality to promote healing and greater self-awareness.
Joy is passionate about the opportunity to grow the tradition of the Clark Center by continuing to advocate for social justice and embracing the varied faith experiences of students, faculty, and staff in a spirit of collaboration and celebration.
An alumnus of Fordham University, the College of New Rochelle, and City University, she holds graduate degrees in Spirituality, Clinical Art Therapy, Art Education, and a B.A. in psychology from St. Joseph’s College.
She and Brandy, her adorable Shih Tzu are a pet-assisted therapy team and love life exploring the nooks and crannies of Putnam County.

Rachel E. Klein

Rachel earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania (2003) and bachelor's degree in Sociology with a concentration in Social Welfare from the University of Delaware (2001).  Rachel became the Executive Director of Hillels of Westchester in 2014.  Prior to her time in the Hillel family, Rachel served as a Reform synagogue director in New Jersey, youth group advisor, and educator.  She began her social work career as a direct-practice social worker in mental health and substance abuse.  Her journey from clinical social work to Hillel professional brought her to serve as an Assistant Child Advocate with the State of New Jersey for nearly a decade, where she focused on anti-bullying efforts, childhood lead poisoning, legislative oversight and individual advocacy.  She is an award winning hobby winemaker and currently lives in Stamford, Connecticut with her fiance, Brian, English Bulldog, Lucy, and (master of the house) cat, Ollie*.  Her superpowers include supremely organized packing skills and creating space for others.
