Interim Chief Diversity Officer
Cindy Porter, EdD, has been appointed Interim Chief Diversity Officer, effective August 2020. Since joining Manhattanville as the Vice President of Student Affairs in 2017, Dr. Porter has been instrumental in shaping Manhattanville’s approach to diversity, equity, and inclusion. She led the development of Manhattanville’s bias response system, established a blueprint for the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Task Force, and created Mville First, a program designed the support first-generation college students. Dr. Porter has continuously championed awareness of diversity, equity, and inclusion at the President’s Cabinet.

Bias incidents can be very upsetting to not only the targeted person but also to the whole community. In addition the members of BERT, there are many offices on campus that can help by providing support to individuals.
