Manhattanville's Reid Castle was recently featured in an MSN article about castles in the surrounding areas.
"Reid Castle, Purchase
New York Tribune publisher Whitelaw Reid used stone quarried on the estate in 1888 to build his castle, using the firm of McKim, Mead & White. There's a tower, of course, and two rooms were imported from the reception rooms for the Chateau de Billennes, the country estate of a member of the House of Napoleon III. Today, the castle is an administrative building for Manhattanville College."
