Nikhil Kumar '05, M.S. '09, vice president of undergraduate enrollment management at Manhattanville College, dished on the benefits of students having extracurricular activities prior applying to college in a NY Metro Parents article.
In the article, Kumar says that high school students involved in different activities find success in college for several reasons. In addition to potentially garnering scholarships from participating in extracurricular activities, the students also learn lessons in humility, and transition to college life easier, according to Kumar.
