Information for Parents
We are pleased that you are part of the Manhattanville College family.
Please see recent messages sent to the College community about plans for spring, recent quarantines and the surveillance testing protocol on campus. The messages can be found on our "Messages to the Manhattanville Community" page.
Below you will see an overview of our safety protocols and precautions.
Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been a need to reimagine the ways in which we teach and learn. Faculty and staff have worked tirelessly to prepare for this academic year, creating innovative strategies that both prioritize the health and well-being of our community while also retaining a high level of student engagement and seamlessly delivering course content. As the term unfolds, we continue to remain vigilant and flexible in our responses, recognizing that a pivot to remote learning is always a possibility, and we remain committed to Manhattanville’s mission to provide students with a safe and exceptional educational experience.
Masks or face coverings are required in all indoor spaces, including residence halls, as well as outdoors whenever social distancing—remaining six feet apart—is not possible. Exceptions are made whenever students are inside their own rooms or suites.
To ensure social distancing during instruction, all classrooms will operate at no more than fifty percent capacity or less. The College will also use nontraditional classroom spaces that can accommodate larger classes in order to maintain social distancing.
New Learning Formats
Most courses are offered both online and in-person/hybrid. Students have the opportunity to choose their instructional experience for the semester. In-person/hybrid classes include an online component.
The safety and wellbeing of our community is our priority. We are in this together. Each of us, abiding by our safety protocols, helps to create and maintain a safer environment for all.
Any parent with questions for the College is encouraged to email COVIDemail@example.com.
