From the Ossining School District: “Students in the Ossining School District are in need of tutors and mentors. You can be that person to them. Last spring and over the summer we have partnered with many colleges around the area to create a community driven initiative that enabled teacher candidates to virtually support Ossining students with distance learning. In addition to providing much needed support for students and families during the coronavirus pandemic, this opportunity also enabled students to gain experience with distance learning platforms and acquire fieldwork hours. The program is looking for college students to volunteer to work with students in grades K-12 across content areas. This is a great opportunity for teacher candidates to directly help students during this unprecedented time. If you are interested in providing tutoring and/or mentoring for students in the Ossining district, please contact Andrea Nardella at email@example.com or (914)762-5830.”
