Academic Internship Program
The Academic Internship Program is a credit-bearing program that integrates classroom learning with supervised employment in an area relevant to a student’s educational and career goals.
Students may need to register an internship for credit to fulfill requirements for their degree, employer, or international student status. If not required, students are also encouraged to register for credit for a more integrated learning experience. Credit-bearing internships may also fulfill degree electives.
Students who have achieved Sophomore standing (completed 30 credits) and declared a major may register an internship for credit, whether they found that internship through Manhattanville or on their own. Students register a course concurrent with the internship under the supervision of a Faculty Internship Advisor, and complete academic assignments connecting their work experiences at the internship to concepts learned in courses.
A complete program description and Internship Course Request Form can be found in the Internships section of the Resource Library in the Mville Career Network.
