Technical: Manhattanville Help Desk
Contact the Manhattanville Help Desk when:
- Password resets
- Technology is not working as expected, e.g. files not uploading, login not working, materials not displaying, etc.
- You wish to merge two sections of a course
- There are problems with the in-class technology; computers, interactive whiteboards, projectors, etc.
- You need help with Digication courses; creating them for a class, enrolling students, etc.
- There is an issue during nights and weekends
Usage Help: Digital Innovations Team
Schedule a consultation with the Digital Innovations Team for assistance with functions in Blackboard or Digication such as:
- Uploading files,
- Embedding videos and images,
- Creating assignments,
- Working with discussion boards,
- Using ePortfolios, etc.
- Supporting the edTPA assessment process (School of Education)
Instructional Design: Instructional Technologist
Faculty and staff are invited to contact the Instructional Technologist for support on meeting your teaching goals through Manhattanville's instructional technology. Discover strategies in course design in either Blackboard or Digication, discuss assessment options, and explore how to engage students through multimedia, ePortfolio, discussions, blogs, journals, and more. Request a consultation.
Zoom: Remote Classroom Support
Faculty may request an institutional Zoom account from the Manhattanville Help Desk at mville.edu/it. For details on scheduling meetings, setting up breakout rooms, managing recordings, etc., please contact Lance Rosenthal, Remote Classroom Support.
Administrative
Registrar
Contact the Office of the Registrar for administrative questions or issues about your Blackboard sites, such as:
- Students or faculty not appearing as expected
- Adding students, mentors, supplemental instructors, etc. to a site
- Changing roles for yourself or a student in a site
Retention
Contact the Director of Student Success Initiatives with Starfish questions, such as:
- Accessing and viewing Starfish (if you have trouble logging in or do not see your expected students/courses)
- Tracking items: how to raise a flag, kudos, etc.
- Features of Starfish: setting up office hours, scheduling appointments, recording attendance, etc.
