President's Cabinet Charter
Introduction
The President’s Cabinet (Cabinet) is charged to make recommendations to the President regarding the assessment of compliance risks and development of activities and programs to effectively manage those risks within the College. This Charter broadly defines the Cabinet’s roles with respect to the Valiants Verify program only.
Purpose and Authority of Cabinet for Valiants Verify
The Cabinet is to assess the University's operational compliance with applicable legal requirements and sound ethical standards. The Cabinet encourages ethical conduct and a commitment to compliance with the law. The Cabinet is empowered to:
Chaired by the Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer, the President’s Cabinet consists of the following ex-officio members as well as other members appointed by the President and/or President’s Cabinet as so needed:
The Cabinet meets on a regular basis throughout the year. At least once a year, the Cabinet shall meet specifically to review the College’s compliance risk assessments, to identify areas of highest compliance risk, to propose activities and programs to effectively manage those risks, and to make recommendations to the President. Meeting agendas will be prepared and provided in advance to members, along with appropriate briefing materials. Minutes will be prepared. Except as otherwise provided by this Charter, a majority of the incumbent members of the Cabinet shall be required to constitute a quorum for the transaction of business at any meeting. The Cabinet may invite Compliance Partners or others to attend meetings to provide pertinent information as necessary.

Periodic Charter Review and Evaluation of Charter for Valiants Verify
The Cabinet shall periodically assess its activities with respect to the responsibilities outlined in this Charter and shall take action as needed in response to this assessment. This assessment shall include a review of the adequacy of the Cabinet Charter in reference to the Valiants Verify program.

- Assist the Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer in monitoring of the College's compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Review the College’s compliance risk assessments, identify areas of highest compliance risk, and propose activities and programs to effectively manage those risks.
- Seek any information it requires from College employees or external parties.
- Recommend appropriate actions to the President.

The Cabinet’s responsibilities for the Valiants Verify initiative include:
- Review the results of institutional compliance risk self-assessments to identify emerging risk areas and high risk activities within the institution and recommend to the President those high risks which require executive oversight.
- Provide recommendations to the Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer in the development of policies and procedures related to include compliance awareness, training and monitoring to identify, avoid, and/or minimize non-compliance with applicable laws, regulations, College policies and procedures.
- Recommend quality effective training programs for areas identified as high compliance risks.
