About the Speakers:
Professor JC Seoane
JC is a treasury, banking & markets executive with 30 years of experience in financial risk management, and in particular in trading, marketing, and selling financial derivatives. In most of his previous positions, JC was responsible for building or restructuring corporate derivatives sales desks, hiring and managing foreign exchange and interest rates derivatives teams, both in Europe and in the U.S. In his last position, JC was head of fixed income & currencies corporate sales for Santander Bank in the U.S. He currently teaches international finance, portfolio management, and risk management at several U.S. universities.
JC has a Master’s Degree in Applied Economics from Sciences-Po Paris and an MBA from the London Business School. He is currently working on a thesis on the history of financial derivatives at Harvard University.
Professor Jeremy Reams
Jeremy is a Corporate Development Associate at IBM Corporation where he coordinates valuation and risk assessments across M&A strategy, business units, and execution teams with an emphasis on crafting an investment thesis and serves as a trusted business adviser on complex deal proposals and partnerships. He has also served as a Corporate Finance Strategist where he led a team of financial analysts to consolidate the income statement for the software group HQ division, built strategy models that are presented to three senior vice presidents and two general managers on the level of investment for growth initiatives, development organizations, and worldwide sales, managed spending policy strategy affecting over +60,000 IBM employees and is the recipient of the Executive Shadow Award and Manager’s Choice Award (3X).
Jeremy has an MBA, from the Columbia Business School Executive Program and a BS in Finance from Florida State University.
