H.E.L.P. Center

Welcome To The H.E.L.P. Center

The Higher Education Learning Program (H.E.L.P.) is a fee-based program that serves as a center of support for  students with documented learning disabilities. It is designed to assist students to successfully meet the academic challenges of the Manhattanville College curriculum. This program offers tutoring services that are individualized to meet  the needs of each H.E.L.P. student. Instruction is provided by professionals who have training and experience working with this population.

No separate application is required to become a member of the H.E.L.P. Center. Students may enroll in the program after they have been accepted by the Collegeand have registered with the Office of Disability Services before accessing the H.E.L.P. Center.

The H.E.L.P. Center offers a wide range of academic support services designed to fit the individual needs of each student. These services include:

  • One to one tutoring 3 hours per week
  • Study skills instruction
  • Reading strategies
  • Writing support
  • Organizational skills
  • Time management techniques
  • Professional Tutors

The H.E.L.P. Center is open Monday - Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
It is located on the main floor of the Library, room 133
