Accommodations

Reasonable accommodations are provided on an individualized basis.  Student requests for accommodations must coincide with a demonstrated need as evidenced by the documentation of disability.  Examples of reasonable accommodations may include, but are not limited to:

  • Extended test time
  • Separate testing location
  • Note-taking accommodations
  • Readers
  • Sign language interpretation
  • Materials provided in alternate formats

The Director of Disability Services will meet individually with each student to talk about what accommodations are most appropriate along with a review of the documentation of disability.  Accommodations can be adjusted if the need arises.  An accommodation letter is sent to professors at the student’s request.  This request must be made by the student each semester.
