Special Interest Housing is a unique living-learning opportunity offered to upper-class residential students whereby groups of students are placed in small residential communities based on a common group theme or interest that the students themselves select. Housing facilities for the Special Interest Housing will be located in the Burnett, Olmsted and Houston Cottages located on the north end of campus. Students who wish to apply for this housing option will be required to submit a group application, a completed Special Interest Housing Group Agreement, and a Faculty Advisor Form, if applicable.
The purpose of Special Interest Housing is to foster a sense of community responsibility, personal growth and a connection to the larger institution through intensive theme-based programming within a small residential environment.
Three cottages—Burnett, Houston, and Olmsted—will be available for Special Interest Housing selection.
