International Scholarships

Merit Awards

Manhattanville has a long history of rewarding students of high academic achievement regardless of their financial need.  We also are committed to making it possible for students of limited financial resources to attend the college. Each applicant is automatically evaluated for merit awards and no additional application is needed for consideration.

Rights and Responsibilities of Merit Award Recipients:

Annual renewal of all scholarships is based on:

    • Maintaining a minimum grade point average
    • Attending each semester on a full time basis (14-16 credits)

Fine Arts Awards

Dance/Theatre and Music awards are given based on the student's audition. The amount awarded depends upon each individual audition. 
    • International applicants who wish to major in art must present a varied portfolio of their best artwork to the Art Department.
    • International students can submit portfolios by mailing a CD/DVD to the Office of Admissions or by providing a link to e-portfolios to

    • International applicants who wish to major in voice or instrumental music must submit an audition by mailing a DVD with the requirements to the Office of Admissions. The audition DVD should consist of three performances from different musical periods. A test of general musicianship will be given during orientation week
    • International applicants who wish to major in Dance, Theatre or Theatre Education must submit an audition by mailing a DVD with requirements to the Office of Admissions

Community Service Awards

We offer those students with leadership, community service and/or social justice experience the opportunity to apply for the Duchesne Center Scholarship.  By offering scholarships of $2,000 per year, we hope to reward those students who will most likely continue on the service path, while also advancing our values and missions. Alumni Award

Sons and daughters of alumni or alumnae are eligible for a $2,000 a year scholarship.  To qualify, please indicate on your application your parent's full name and graduation year.
