Law Students interested in careers in law have two options open to them at Manhattanville. They may choose to enroll in the College; regular four-year undergraduate program and begin their formal legal studies after graduation. These students can seek advice and guidance from the Academic Advising Office.
Students may also apply for participation in the college legal studies program, which offers an integrated course of study including legal studies electives as a second area of strength at the college. The program allows students interested in law to begin, as freshmen, to evaluate their interest in legal studies. A student at Manhattanville chooses a major in one of the College disciplines and also pursues a concentration in Legal Studies. The Legal Studies Program is described under the course descriptions of the Political Science and Legal Studies Department.
The College has a cooperative arrangement with the State University of New York at Purchase which allows students to cross-register for certain courses (with the approval of the Manhattanville Advising Office) and also to use the specialized library holdings.
