Manhattanville offers excellent preparation for students seeking to enter health professional schools in such areas as medicine, dentistry, optometry, chiropractic, physician assistant, veterinary medicine, pharmacy, physical therapy, and other health-related fields.
The Pre-Health program does not lead to a degree from Manhattanville. Instead, it sets guidelines for students to successfully complete prerequisite coursework and other requirements relating to individual fields.
Interested students should contact Dr. Darlene Gandolfi, the Pre-Health Advisor, to complete a Statement of Intent and to be added to the Blackboard site as early as possible upon admission to Manhattanville.
Manhattanville offers several options for students interested in pursuing a career in law. Although many students interested in the legal profession major in Political Science with a concentration in Legal Studies or in Criminal Law, it is also possible to pursue other majors, while minoring in Legal Studies or Criminal Law. Details regarding Political Science, the Legal Studies and Criminal Law concentrations, and the minors in Legal Studies and Criminal Law are listed under Political Science in the Academic Departments section below. Students interested in law should seek advice early on from both the pre-law advisor and the chair of the Political Science department.
