Biology Placement Exam

The Biology Placement Exam will determine whether you will be placed
into BIO 1000 or BIO 1001. BIO 1000 will provide you with extra background
preparation if you have not taken Biology for a while.

Please take this test as a closed-book exam. It is more important that you
are honest and truthful while taking the exam as it will provide a more
accurate representation of your knowledge and preparation for BIO 1001,
our introductory course for Biology majors, which is very intensive.

You have 45 minutes to complete the test. The exam has a total of 27
questions that are multiple choice or true/false. The questions will appear
one at a time and it does not allow backtracking – changes to an answer
after its submission are prohibited.

You may take the placement exam at any time.
