The Department of Economics, Finance and Management offers a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) or Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Major in Marketing.  Marketing strategically connects businesses to consumers.  The American Marketing Association (AMA) defines Marketing as “the activity, set of institutions, and processes for creating, communicating, delivering, and exchanging offerings that have value for customers, clients, partners, and society at large.”

The Marketing program provides core knowledge of theory, concepts and principles, as well as the methods and application of effective strategic marketing management techniques that will prepare each student for a career in the marketing field.  Students will examine the flow of goods and services from the producer to the consumer.  Students will explore and analyze consumer characteristics and behavior, the impact of advertising and communication, market research techniques and international marketing systems.  In addition to preparing the student for a career in the marketing field in the areas of market research, brand management, advertising, sales promotion, public relations and sales, the marketing program provides an excellent background for graduate studies and professional certification.

The Department also offers a Minor in Marketing available to all Manhattanville undergraduates and a Concentration in Marketing, available to Finance and Management majors.
