The Economics, Finance and Management Department congratulates the following five students, Alyssa Coughlan, Barbara Gonzalez, Sarah Gustavsson, Rosanna Novas and Emil Sjoberg, along with Professors Derrell and Mona, who presented their papers at the Eastern Economic Association Conference. The Conference was held in Boston from March 9th through March 11th: Alyssa presented her paper, "Should Today's Global Economy Adopt a Single Currency?" Barbara presented her paper, "Economic Costs of War During Iraq & Afghanistan Millitary Operations." Sarah presented her paper, "Monetary Policy During an Economic Crisis in the United States and the European Union – So Similar, Yet So Different Approaches." Rosanna presented her paper, "The Role of Government Housing Policies in the Recent Financial Crisis." Emil presented his paper, "A Comparative Study of the Efficient Market Theory and Behavioral Finance – In Support of Financial Regulation." Professor Derrell presented his paper, "Public Investment and Unemployment in the OECD." Professor Mona presented two articles that she co-authored, "Business and Real Estate Cycles in the U.S.: Evidence From a Markov-switching Regression Exercise" and "Impact of Miliary Expenses on the US Economic Growth: A Cointegration Analysis by Ardl Bound Test." |
