Located on the second floor of the Library, the Education Resource Center contains a variety of materials that will supplement and enrich the teaching-learning process and facilitate the development of a creative, comprehensive classroom program. The ERC is open during the same hours as the Library. Juvenile/Young Adult LiteratureThe Juvenile/Young Adult Literature collection is a model collection of the best in juvenile literature. Award winning books in juvenile/young adult literature are added annually to the collection. Searching the online Manhattanville Library CastleCat catalog will locate these resources. Teaching AidesFlashcards, games, manipulatives, puzzles and other supplementary materials to enhance the K - 12 language arts, mathematics, social studies, and science content areas. TextbooksScott Foresman Teacher Edition K - 6 textbook kits in ESL, Math, Reading, Social Studies, and Science and the Harcourt Brace Signature Reading series are available in the ERC. Secondary school teacher edition textbooks are also available in the Language Arts, Math, Sciences, and Social Studies subject areas. Standardized TestsThe Library has a collection of 69 standardized tests used in a variety of K - 12 settings. The tests fall into these classification areas - achievement, developmental, English, intelligence and scholastic aptitude, mathematics, reading, and sensory/motor.
