The Manhattanville College Library staff and collections support faculty members in delivering instruction and conducting original research.
Services for Faculty Include:
Library Instruction- Instructors can request Library Instruction and Research Support for their class, in the library or their classroom by filling out the online Library Instruction Request form. Requests must be made at least a week in advance.
Physical Reserves- The library helps instructors make physical course readings and videos available to students.
Electronic Reserves- The Center for Teaching and Learning assists instructors with making electronic materials available, usually through Blackboard.
Academic Department Liaisons- Each Academic Department at Manhattanville has a liaison librarian to support the department. Liaisons develop relationships with faculty to support courses by preparing Library Guides, conducting specialized library instruction for classes, and updating faculty on new library resources.
Request a Purchase- The library makes every effort to obtain materials requested and recommended by faculty. Request can be made using the Request a Purchase form or by contacting your Department Liaison.
Request a Room Reservation- Faculty members can reserve library rooms to use specific instructional materials such as Education tests. Faculty members can also request to use a room in the library for a presentation or committee meeting.
Research Assistance- The library can help faculty with research needs including:
Research refreshers on new library databases or new searching strategies
Please Note: Media Services requests are now served through the Office of Information Technology.
