|About the Library|
The Manhattanville College Library is the intellectual and social center of Manhattanville - offering impressive collections and outstanding services.
Our instruction program emphasizes thinking critically about information needs and evaluating sources of information for relevance, reliability, and objectivity.
Librarians work with each student to integrate traditional print materials and the newest electronic forms of information into their research. Manhattanville graduates are capable searchers and users of these resources.
The library has over 200,000 books, hundreds of current periodical subscriptions, an outstanding media collection and a scholarly rare book collection.
The library web site serves the college community with extensive research tools. The library catalog provides access to the library's holdings, patron information and the holdings of the other academic libraries in Westchester County. The library subscribes to 143 databases linking to over 45,000 electronic journals, 7000+ electronic books and a large selection of periodical indexes in a broad range of disciplines. All of these resources are available off-campus to members of the Manhattanville community. The library supports teaching and learning by providing 24/7 online access to course reserve materials, ranging from text assignments to audio and video files.
