On the 11th of February, 2014, a group of students from my class, Introduction to the Fashion Industry taught at the English Language Institute, were invited by our Instructor, Gabriella Pannunzio, to attend Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week to see the FALL 2014 collections created by top fashion design students from the Art Institute of New York City in the Theater at Lincoln Center.
During the show, we witnessed different styles, passions and inspirations reflecting the creativity of these young designers. Minimalism, Futurism and Romanticism were among the themes shown on the runway. Among the plush and interesting fabrics used by the student designers were: leather, fur and metallic looks, tweeds, and satins embellished with Swarovski crystals.

The music, lights and people with wonderful outfits were additional highlights of the night that created a special atmosphere. This unique experience allowed us to live an unforgettable moment while giving us the opportunity to apply the knowledge we gained in our course.
We enjoyed the show. No doubt it was a unique opportunity for all those who love fashion.
