Student Experiences
The Maritime Aquarium

This past Wednesday, November 20, we took a trip to the Marine Aquarium at Norwalk. It was a fun trip. As the first activity, we had a 45 minute show at the IMAX movie theater, which was all about the "Great White Shark". The documentary was really interesting. They showed us how people sometimes think the worst about those animals just because they have some bias. Yes, they are huge animals, not pretty at all, but they have their own charm. It's not always bad about sharks. For me, this was the best part of the trip.

Fun Fuzion

Last Wednesday, we went to FunFuzion, which is an indoor amusement park. We could enjoy many different kinds of games such as shooting, driving, and DDR games for an hour. DDR games especially reminded me of the past, when I played it when I was around 10 years old.

Pumpkin Carving

On Wednesday, October 30, the class met in room 7 to carve some pumpkins for Halloween. By the time everyone had their pumpkin, Margie and Carly, our teachers, gave us some tools to start doing what we wanted with them. Almost everyone did this activity with gloves because what the pumpkin had inside was a little unpleasant.

Gyu-Kaku Japanese Restaurant

Since the majority of the ELI students wanted to taste Japanese food, we went to Gyu-Kaku, which is the popular Japanese restaurant in White Plains. It looked neat and the staff were kind.
