Academic Advising Workshops for First Year Students

"Navigating My Requirements"

Mandatory Workshop for Freshmen beginning OCTOBER 6 - 17. This 45 minute pre-registration workshop will focus on how to use your Degree Audit (accessible in WebAdvisor) as a planning tool. Students will be expected to bring a copy of their Degree Audit to this workshop. Students must attend this workshop in order for their advisor to remove their registration hold on WebAdvisor, thereby allowing them to register for courses for Spring, 2015

  • Come to one of the six General Education & Degree Requirement Workshops.
  • Find out about academic standing & how to calculate GPA
  • Learn general academic policies and procedures.
  • Get your questions answered.

Academic Advising Workshops

for Current Sophomores


"Spring 2015 Advising & Registration Planning Workshop"      


This workshop will review the college catalog, degree requirements, general education curriculum, degree audit, and the process for declaring a major. Workshops will take place from September 23 through October 23 (Tuesdays 3-4pm, Wednesdays 1-2pm, Thursdays 7-8pm).  YOU MUST SIGN UP FOR THIS WORKSHOP USING THE CALENDAR IN STARFISH. Attendees are required to bring a copy of their degree audit to the workshop.

            Where:  Music Building-Pius X

            When:  Weekly Sessions beginning Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2014

Seating is LIMITED for each session offered and Registration is required through STARFISH.

*Attendance at ONE of these workshops is MANDATORY in order to prepare for your Spring 2015 registration this November.
