Purchase, NY July 5, 2013 -- Manhattanville College will offer a new undergraduate Marketing degree program beginning in the fall semester, 2013. “The program will provide core knowledge of theory, concepts and principles, as well as the methods and application of effective marketing techniques to prepare each student for a career in the marketing field,” said Willliam C. Perkins, Ph.D, chair, Department of Economics, Finance and Management.
Students in the Marketing program will examine the flow of goods and services from the producer to the consumer. They will explore and analyze consumer characteristics and behavior, the impact of advertising and communication, market research techniques and international marketing systems. The Marketing program is also an excellent background for graduate studies and professional certifications.
It is strongly recommended that students majoring in Marketing take at least one credit-bearing internship during the junior or senior year.
