|Manhattanville College to Offer Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sport Studies|
Starting this Fall semester of 2013, Manhattanville College will offer a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sport Studies.
"Manhattanville is proud to announce its newest major, Sport Studies," said Dr. Gail Simmons, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. Students in the Sport Studies program will study all areas of sports, its history, sociology, physiology, and psychology, business aspects, management, marketing, and communications within the field of sports. Internships in sport settings are also available to student and can be used for academic credit toward the Sport Studies degree.
"The goal of this program is to provide undergraduate students with knowledge and training related to a wide-range of sport-related topics, thus providing them with a strong academic foundation for pursuing a variety of sport-related careers and graduate training opportunities," said Dr. Anthony Santucci, Professor of Psychology and Director Sport Studies.
An opportunity to apply to The School of Graduate and Professional Studies for a Master's in Sport Business Management will be available.
