|Center for Career Development Hosted Annual Internship and Job Fair|
Manhattanville Students and alumni had the opportunity to network with a wide-range of companies at the annual Internship and Job fair organized by the Center for Career Development on Tuesday, April 2.
"I received great feedback from employers who attended the event," said Rosalie Shemmer, Director of the Center for Career Development.
"The Manhattanville finance and accounting majors, as well as the political science, sociology and legal studies majors are all a strong match with our organization, and we look forward to interviewing several candidates from our resume collection today," Joanne Labrusciano from Legal Services of Hudson Valley told Shemmer after the event.
The annual career fair has witnessed a promising growth in terms of both student and employer participation. The number of student attendees increased 30 percent from last year, with 136 students from across academic disciplines, and the number of employers increased 26 percent, with 43 different companies participating, including Enterprise Rent A Car, ESPN, Indeed.com, Music Conservatory of Westchester, New York Life, Peace Corps, WRNN-TV, and many more.
A full list of participating employers can be found at the CCD Homepage.
"I hope our students continue to take advantage of the opportunities that Manhattanville College and the CCD provides regarding jobs and internships," Shemmer said.
The CCD is hosting another event that also provides similar opportunities with the Non-Profit Networking Night, coming up on April 18. At this event, students and alumni will have the opportunity to meet over 15 representatives from a wide variety of non-profit organizations.
