In keeping with our commitment to our partners in the educational community, Manhattanville College School of Education is pleased to announce a special initiative to assist teachers who have been affected by the recent layoffs across the region. We will offer 1/3 tuition discount for all those interested in taking courses, seeking a new degree, or getting an additional certification to further their credentials and improve their professional marketability.
"The School of Education takes great pride in its relationship with surrounding school districts, and wants to provide professional development opportunities for those who have lost their teaching positions during this difficult economic time," said Dean Shelley B. Wepner.
The NCATE-accredited School of Education offers programs for beginning teachers, experienced teachers seeking additional certification and professional development, and current teachers seeking certification as future school leaders. Master's level and certification programs are available in childhood, early childhood, special education, adolescence education with middle school extension (math, social studies, science (biology, chemistry, physics), English, foreign language (French, Italian, Latin, Spanish), TESOL, physical education, educational leadership, music education, art education, theatre education, and literacy.
