Capozzi Named First Academic All-American in 27 Years

Junior Michael Capozzi (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic/San Judas Tadeo) of the Manhattanville men's tennis team became the first Valiant in 27 years to be named a Capital One Academic All-American by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) with a spot on the Men's At-Large second team.

He becomes just the third Valiant ever to be named a CoSIDA Academic All-American and first in nearly three decades, joining Bill Lahart '81 (men's basketball second team in 1978) and Jackie Jamieson '84 (softball first team in 1984) in the very select group.
