|Dean Anthony Davidson Tapped as Judge For Westchester County Business Journal Event|

Dr. Anthony Davidson, dean of Manhattanville College’ School of Graduate & Professional Studies will be one of three judges of the first Family-Owned Business Awards hosted by the Westchester County Business Journal on November 7.The other judges will be Dr. Marsha Gordon, president and CEO of the Business Council of Westchester, and John Ritacco, president and CEO of CMS Bank. They will have to choose the three winners from the pool of 27 businesses named as finalists.
Each of the finalists have been owned and operated in Westchester anywhere from 5 to 107 years.
The Family-Owned Business Awards came about after much discussion on how to honor the businesses that are the backbone of the local and national economy. Studies show that family businesses account for 50 percent of U.S. gross domestic product and for nearly 80 percent of all new job creation in the nation.
In addition to being a program judge Davidson will lead the event with a discussion on family-owned businesses.
The event will be held at the Mapleton in White Plains.
