mfa readingManhattanville College's Masters of Fine Arts in Writing program will host a reading by three faculty members that joined the program in 2012: Neela Vaswani, Elizabeth Eslami, and Camille Rankine, on Monday, October 1, 2012.

"These three writers symbolize the extraordinary infusion of literary talent in our new MFA program," Mark Nowak, Director of the MFA program, said. "We're thrilled to have these award-winning authors and great teachers of writing as faculty at Manhattanville. And we hope the entire campus community will come out for the new MFA program's first public event."

The reading will take place in the Ophir Room, Reid Hall at 7 p.m.

Vaswani won the American Book Award and the Foreword Book of the Year for her cross-genre memoir, You Have Given Me Another Country. Eslami's short story collection, The Hibernarium, was a finalist for the 2011 Flannery O'Connor Award for Short Fiction, and Rankine was named an emerging poet in the Fall 2010 issue of American Poet and the April 2011 issue of O, The Oprah Magazine.

Copies of all three faculty members' books will be available at the event through the Manhattanville College Bookstore.
