|Irish Folk Musician To Perform at Manhattanville|

Sean Tyrrell, a native Irish folk musician, is performing at Manhattanville College on September 27, 2012.
Tyrrell has released eight critically acclaimed albums including, "Cry of a Dreamer" and "Message of Peace." Tyrrell has toured Europe, England, Ireland, and Australia. He is now touring America to promote his newest album, "Walker of the Snow."
"He has worked with poets and actors as well as famous music instrumentalists and his creativity has only grown with the decades," history professor Irene Whelan said. "He occupies a completely unique place in the Irish music world and the popularity of his albums and concerts are a shining testimony to his creative talents and commitment."
The concert, sponsored by the English, History, and Music Departments, as well as the Duchesne Center for Religion and Social Justice, starts at 8 p.m. in the Pius X Theater in the Music Building. The event is free for the Manhattanville community. General admission is $7.
