The event gave community members an opportunity to discussion diversity in the workplace with a panel of alumni, who hold a diversity and inclusion role with their organizations.
Panelists included Arlene Torres, Director of Global Diversity and Inclusion at MasterCard Worldwide, Myriam Vocke, Director of Human Resources at the Arc of Westchester, Lauren Ziadie, Diversity Recruiter at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, and Gretchel Hathaway, Senior Director for Campus Diversity and Affirmative Action at Union College.
The panel was moderated by Jamie Goddard, Program Manager at Add Us In/Diversity Works, The Work Place Inc.
"The Diversity and Inclusion panel provided an opportunity to continue the conversation initiated by Manhattanville's Diversity Task Force last month," Shannon Greene, Assistant Director of the CCD, said. "The panelists offered great insight about diversity and inclusion in the workplace and strategies to continue the development of on-campus diversity initiatives. It was great to see the audience, composed of students and staff, so engaged and sharing their ideas and curiosities in an open forum."
The panelist provided valuable information on topics such as the importance of networking and interviewing skills, as well as the importance of diversity and inclusion in the workplace. Audience members also had the opportunity to ask questions and network with the panelists afterwards.
