On Thursday October 4, Dr. Scott Christianson will deliver the 14th annual Henry Schwarzschild Memorial Lecture at Manhattanville College. The lecture, cosponsored by the New York Civil Liberties Union's Lower Hudson Valley Chapter and the Connie Hogarth Center for Social Action, will feature a discussion and critique of capital punishment and the criminal justice system.

The Office of Campus Life has many fun events planned for Welcome Week (August 27-September 6), including karaoke, laser tag, a BBQ, and a Yankees game. The Office of Campus Life isn't the only department hosting events either, the Duchesne Center for Religion and Social Justice, the Center for Career Development, the Library, and Athletics are just a few of the other departments holding events and providing much needed resources during the week.

The Connections program under Manhattanville College's Duchesne Center for Religion and Social Justice hosted its 8th Annual Senior Citizen Prom on April 27, 2012. The Prom was a platform that connected Manhattanville College students and senior citizens in an interactive way, as students mingled with the senior citizens, entertained them with various performances, and served them dinner.
