Manhattanville College was inducted as a Community Partner in the Park Avenue School (Port Chester, NY) Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame on November 29, 2012. In addition to a plaque mounted in the Hall of Fame, a donation in honor of the partnership, was made to the Red Cross for Hurricane Sandy relief efforts.

The Arthur M. Berger Art Gallery will be hosting an opening reception on November 14, 2012 for the Dale Williams exhibit, "Wrong Moves." These paintings can be seen as allegories of shared vulnerability, especially pronounced in this time of economic uncertainty. UPDATE 11/8/12: The Meet the Writers program has been rescheduled for December 3, 2012 at 7 p.m.
Nick Flynn, author of The Ticking is the Bomb, will be on campus for the first Meet the Writers reading and discussion of the year. The reading is on December 3 and starts at 7 p.m. in the Ophir Room, Reid Hall. Meet the Writers is hosted by the MFA program and features prominent writers, who come to discuss their art and process with fellow writers and community members.

Over 16,000 people gathered at Manhattanville College on October 21, 2012 to participate in the annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk. Participants came from all over the Westchester area to walk for the cause and were able to raise $1,362,294 in donations.
